Ladies Night In
11:52PM, November 25th, 2006
I have not long returned from a great evening with the girls. In belated celebration of mine and Becky’s birthdays, Becky and Rebecca journeyed down from BrisVegas and held us a special ‘Do’ full of laugher and frivolty.
It was so wonderful to see the ladies again and spend time to catch up with everyone. We played games, from pool through to Taboo, and ate lots of naughty foods. One possible highlight of the evening was me trying to express “Cottage Cheese” in a round of Taboo. My team (Carla and Rebecca) had the Cheese bit down pat, but when I tried to describe the first word as “A little house in the country with lots of flower gardens” Carla screamed out “Parmesan!”. Another great moment was Sophie trying to protray “Breed” by saying “Tyson is the only one in the room allowed to do this”. I’m not sure Sophie’s up to date with the latest legislation.
Speaking of Carla, it was so wonderful to see her again as I only ever get to catch up with her at the latest birthday party. There are still severe remnants of our high school years, during which we spent all day, every day together due to our timetables being the same. Check out this wonderful gift she bought me.
Special thanks also to Zoe who put her love and tears (and maybe a little arsenic) into a batch of cupcakes baked for me. You know how much I loved the “Cupped Cakes”! Shame everyone else ate them! My other great present was a sheet of name tag stickers from the ’70s Ursula picked up from a closing down time-capsule of a shop. It’s even better that the name on the stickers is Darren!
What a great night! Thanks to Becky and Rebecca for organising and hosting the evening. Photos are a bit on the scant side, but Rebecca took a number of photos (as did I on her camera), so I’ll post some of those when I get them.

Little Shop of Horrors Photos
6:49PM, August 22nd, 2006

I have posted a selection of some forty-odd photos from Little Shop of Horrors onto my Flickr stream today. Check out the Little Shop of Horrors photo set to view them all. It’s so wonderful to have incredible photos like these as a memory of the show. There are shows I’ve done which I have absolutely no photos of at all (like the first time I did Little Shop. Anyone out there have any?), so the professional photo set for this show and Charlie Brown are highly treasured.

Maul Our Children

All Our Children
The murder mystery party was great. You can see the photos here. Halfway through the second or third round I had seriously thought I had done it. The evidence was mounting. I think we even got into it more this time than last, and had a much better idea of what was going on story wise. I can’t wait for it to happen again! Who knew murder could be such fun!

Flick’d out
11:32PM, September 13th, 2005
I’m testing out some alternatives for including photos in my blog again. I thought iPhoto was the answer to my problems, but it’s just incredibly bulky and slow for me, so I’d rather not. Here’s a little flickr experiment, however this one will bring up all photos with the tag I specify. This is what happens when I specify sofas:
No photos found on flickr with tag(s) “sofas”.
Oh, and I have just spent the last five hours or so working on an assignment. I’m not slacking here.

Anatomy of a School Bag
11:58PM, August 13th, 2005
Here was a shot of my school bag on the 24th of July, 2003. That bag must have been brand new because it’s still one I use today. Note my homemade faux fur work folder. How cool was I?

…you’re really milking this birthday thing for all it’s worth aren’t you! :P kidding. thanks for your well-wishes though. You never know, I might get Ethyl Rose: Retirement Village Resident, and we can trade cards and show her incredible-yet-uncontrollable urinating actions. Can’t wait!

Is taboo one of those sorts of games like Pictionary only without drawing? Even I couldn’t figure out how to indicate “breed” without making it look disgusting - legislation or no legislation.

Bah! Again with the not letting me know that you guys are commenting! Bad Wordpress, Bad!
AJ - What ever happened to my Beryl character? Maybe she married the priest and lived happily ever after in her daughter-in-law’s sun room?
Kevin - Taboo is the game where you have to get the other team members to guess the word, but you can only describing it using words that aren’t also listed on the card.
Steph - I’m glad I can return the favour! Thanks for being one of my 5 and a half visitors.

I *told* you to steal some of the other cupcakes! Ah well :) I’ll have to bake you some more some time.

Dear Tyson,
Becky and i both had a wonderful time last night, and you didn’t leave too much of a mess for us to clean up. On a personal note, it was great to see you again and also to meet the rest of yours/beckys friends. And i blame not getting ‘Cottage Cheese’ on a combination of champagne and Carla.
Comment by Rebecca — November 26, 2006 @ 4:07 pm
Carla - Yes please, particularly now we are both free from uni for a while!
Zoe - Yes please!
Rebecca - I had a wonderful time too. I’m glad I didn’t trash the place too much. It’s fair to blame Cottage Cheese on Carla.
