It’s surprisingly hard work to sit at a computer and type all day.
Actually, I take that back. Not only is it easy, but I had a lot of practice at it at home. Actually, my pre-work life was more strenuous as I used to walk down the shops and back to get some lunch. Now I just walk down one flight of stairs. The most exciting thing I do is drink lots of water and see how long I can torment my bladder.
What is a little annoying is that they expect so many hours of your day. The good ones, too. I start at around 8am and finish at 3.30 so I still have time to do some tutoring after school. When I do a full day, plus some tutoring, plus rehearsal at night it tends to get a bit time consuming. I barely have time to Jazzercise and shave my legs before the day is out and it’s time to slip between the silky sheets one again.
Oh to spend another day with semi-lobotomised temps who constantly surprise themselves with cries like “Whoops! I just locked myself out of my whole computer!”

I hope they gave you a cubicle with at least three thick walls to deflect the power that temps have to suck the excitement out of life.

Welcome to the “There aren’t enough bloody hours in the day” club. Seriously, why can’t scientists figure out how to slow the Earth’s rotation so we can get more done each day?

Sadly, that’s probably the only job some of those temps will ever have. A moment’s silence for the loss of their abilities please.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will……… remember them. Lest we…. … … …. .. forget.
