My Perfect Sunday

Breaking from my usual sunday ritual of tv and dinner with friends, I went out to Carla’s house with Heather for a lovely dinner, taking advantage of a few days Carla was spending back home. We had a great laugh, and a reminisced about our school days, days which were full of social activity.

After coming home, I popped on the tape of the first episode of a Broadway documentary series which I taped from TV. It has been a long time since I dealt with VHS and now I remember why. Whenever there was a significant portion of white on the screen, the screen looked like someone was pulling it to one side, and it looked awful. At one point, it looked like Julie Andrews had been assassinated (which would have been appropriate had she been mentioning the Sondheim musical of a similar name). This on top of already bland reception. Setting the timer record was no fun either. I’m looking forward to the day hard disk digital recorders are cheap enough.

Instead of going to straight to bed, I had to pop open the iBook to type this out to you (I know I’ve been neglecting you), but now I must really go to bed. After working all day on uni and other work, and still having so much to go, I’m looking forward to sliding off to sleep for a nice break.
