Masters of the WebCam
6:11PM, April 30th, 2004
Doing the kind of ‘legitimate research’ that only the internet allows, I found this photo of Dolph Lundgren, star of Masters of the Universe and I immediately thought of Dart, of ‘Big Hair Is Back’ notoriety. Dart is a friend of a friend of a friend. Or something. But it is his resemblence to He-Man, the man to whom I turned to in my childhood courtesy of the VCR, that struck me. And his wardrobe seems to be similar. Jake assures me the similarities do not stop there, however. I have a feeling he intends to see just how far the coincidence reaches.

When my travels take me to Melbourne (still waiting, Phillip…), I’ll be sure to hello to the scantily-clad man. (And on a side note, Dolph actually gained a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Sydney under scholarship. There is hope for my acting career yet!)
Tonight i’m heading out to the theatre to be a reader for the Grease auditions, and again tomorrow night. Apparently the auditoning numbers are enormous. I’ve never done reading for an audition before, but I assume that it doesn’t get very exciting. I know playing piano for auditions is terribly repetitive. With this taking up my time, plus ACT rehearsal tommorow afternoon, I am trying to organise breakfast with Min, Adam and Greg. However, as usual, i’m afraid most forms of pre-organisation with this lot is fairly futile.
And in other news… **image**

Here for my check up
12:44AM, April 26th, 2004
Well, lets check back in on how I have progressed since just over a week ago.
My list of 20 or so things to do has been reduced to around 10.5. The half mark is for calling friends. I got a phone call from Carla, a few SMSes from Ben and an email from Ashley.
Generally, i’m in better ‘a better place’ at the moment.
Check out the Maths: The Musical website, because the book is now for sale, and also a brand new spunky t-shirt.
Four Jews in a Room Bitching
11:40PM, April 24th, 2004
Second day in the new place is over. I’m still keep falling off my chair, randomly misjudging the floor angle and falling over, and eating tofu and legumes to keep my weight down so I can have a shower, but my mum said “just imagine you are on a cruise ship”. Great, so now I am sharing my room with a vomiting american who likes to talk about the war a lot.
I’ve been slaving over my mic preamp tonight, but alas, for some very unknown reason, it doesn’t amplify the mic signal enough and there is a lot of static (I think from the power source), so i’m not overly happy with that.
I am, however, happy that I managed to finally pick up “March of the Falsettos” on vinyl. I won this auction today on eBay, mainly for the Falsettos and La Cage records, but to a lesser extent the others. As usual, the shipping is almost three times the cost of the records themselves, and thats for “I’ll see you if I see you”-surface mail delivery.
I’m really tired. Goodnight

I hate moving
5:20PM, April 23rd, 2004
I hate moving.
I don’t know whats worse…
The fact that my room is a shambles and there is shit everywhere and I can’t be bothered sorting out my stuff because this room smells like poo.
Or perhaps the fact that this entire room slants towards one side so I feel like i’m going to fall off my chair all the time.
Maybe, just maybe, its the fact that my parents take all my good things everytime we move. This move i’ve noticed my brown set of drawers that I spent so very long working on have turned up in my parents room. I also notice they’ve taken my brand new cordless phone.
It could possibly be because I have so many cuts on my fingers from moving things that everything I touch feels like sandpaper.
Don’t let me forget the bathroom of miniscule size which has a useless basin and a toilet and shower that even I’M going to have to lose weight to enjoy the luxury of.
I really hate moving.

After getting stressed earlier in the week because I hadn’t finished either my Accounting essay or even started my Acoustics presentation (both due tommorow), I’m very relieved to say that they are both now completed.
I can get back to stressing about other things, like the house move tommorow.

Guess who has been sweet talked into helping direct a show at Smiths Hill - me. OH LORD SAVE ME! Why do women have this power over me! WHHHHYYYY!
Damn Nyssa and all her flirtatious methods of making me say yes.
And I’m going to have to deal with Rae, because the play they have chosen is twice as dark as SOTA and about the rape and murder of a teenage girl.
SHITE…
And they want it all wanky and with music… too Ben Pfiefferish for my liking! *shudders*

Adam K - possibly a love-child of Rae and Nyssa? Could it be?
Comment by AJ — April 30, 2004 @ 11:06 pm
Don’t you people have your own sites to blog at?
Comment by Tyson — May 1, 2004 @ 1:02 am
BTW Adam, tell Rae I sent you. She’s not exactly in love with my charm after our last encounter.
Comment by Tyson — May 1, 2004 @ 1:03 am
Tyson, why blog at our sites when we can hijack yours! Actually I dont know who is neglecting their site more - me or AJ.
