Vegemite Splendor

10:57PM, February 27th, 2004

My browser has been going a bit crazy. When I tried to load up AJ’s site, it took me to a CPanel page, and when I tried to load up Michael Starobin’s site, I was greeted with a Lion King bulletin board. Add to that I burnt my vegemite toast. Woe is me.

I headed off with Carmen and Carla to see “American Splendor“, which was a very interesting mix of documentary, film and comic strip. While I enjoyed it all around, and there were lots of effective moments, I was left with nothing at the end. In fact, I can’t even really remember the conclusion of the film. Perhaps thats the ultimate ‘punchline’ to the work of Harvey Pekar.

Also good to see the uni movies are looking out for those in the community who embrace the opportunity to see a more ‘rare’ and non-mainstream film. And at $3.50, the genuine 1976 prices match my 1976 ideals.
