Let’s see… I last posted

Let’s see… I last posted on Monday, and I can’t remember actually doing anything on Tuesday, Wednesday and I can kinda remember today. Is that a good thing? Nah, I don’t know exactly what happened between now and then but two things are crossed off on my to do list, so thats cool… only… 11 to go. Phew. I’ll start my drama essay right after this blog.
Okay, what am I up to? I have my 4U script up to about draft number 4, and i’m finally getting pretty happy with it. I hate rewriting, but it’s definately worth it because everytime it gets better, and I gain more confidence with it. Also, on production side of things, I have one condensor mic (which I will probably use on sound effects), a decent AKG dynamic and 3 cheapish dynamics, and considering I only have 4 characters in one scene at one time, i’m all covered. My mixer supports 4 microphones, but i’ll double two or whatever, no biggie there. In my practices I played with the cheapish mics, and the sound was awful, because I was getting much too high a noise ratio, but when I switched from the XLR->1/4inch to the XLR->XLR cable it worked much better, so i’m relieved about that. I just have to track down some more cables now.
And I’m so sure that was all so interesting for everyone who has no idea what I was talking about.
Four more days of my holidays left, and I have been trying to schedule my work for that, although I know now I won’t get it all done. But I’ll get the most important stuff done. I hope. Actually, i’m scheduling for three days because I have rehearsal on saturday, and I don’t have all day on Monday either. So really, I should wrap up this blog and move onto the essay. Bye

Back in ‘the den’ now. It’s nice. Real nice. When i’m slightly less hungry and a lot less ready for bed knowing I have an early wake up tommorow for Becky’s film, i’ll organise some photos. Done and done.

Living in a house with
4:09PM, April 21st, 2003
Living in a house with the grocery shopper being a chocoholic is bad. I mean, we basically have one half of a shelf in our pantry absolutely packed with chocolate as it is, and we usually have at least two brands of chocolate chip icecream in the freezer (although, thats my doing), but just now after easter, oy, there is sooo much chocolate in there. It’s just rediculous. Somehow though, I think i’ll manage…
I’m still vacated from ‘the den’ into the rumpus room because just an hour or two ago we painted the feature wall. In another hour we will be doing the second coat, and half an hour after thats finished, i’ll be moving my stuff back in. The feature wall makes the room look smaller, but at least it adds some colour and excitement to the room.Yes, excitement. I’ll also be moving my stuff all around, rearranging the furniture in there. You see, its all a sly plan to get a couch in the room. It’s not a large room, but ever since we got into this house, I have decided that I need, nay, deserve a couch for that room. It’s where I do all my recording efforts, and whenever I have guests over to record, they often say that the room needs a couch. Anyway, talking to my mother the other day, she said that she wants to replace the sad couchs here in the rumpus room with some new couchs that are less… floral and more… aethetically pleasing. So I said I would take one and put it in the den, and to which she inquired how I thought I could do it. So, out came my scale drawing of the den, with scaled movable figures for the furniture, and I demonstrated if I moved the furniture around, there would be a nice little couch area. Thus, my current effort is getting me another step closer to a couch in the den. After that, my next destination for conquest is my brother’s room when he moves out. There is really good real estate there, because it is adjacent to my bedroom. Then, the possibilities are simply endless.
To quote Otho from BeetleJuice: “Cover up the wallpaper, rip down a few walls, this place might just be livable!”

I’m blogging from the rumpus
5:59PM, April 20th, 2003
I’m blogging from the rumpus room now… I have temporarily moved the computer into here while I clear out my ‘work room’ ready to paint one of the walls. I did a wall of my bedroom and the colour turned out really well! It’s like an earthy, olive green. Very nice. Anyway, there is so much junk in the ‘work room’ that I thought I would take the opportunity to clean it out a little. I managed to clean up the cupboard quite a bit, but there is so much in there I just have to keep and can’t get rid of. But alas, there is just no where to put it.
While I was cleaning my room (I’m still going by the way), I came across some photos from the first show I played piano for, Billabong Prank, so I’m going to post those up. And yes, they are while we were in performance, so we were all wearing our costumes, me in my wolf/dingo costume. I’ll also get a photo up of the new colour of the feature wall in my work room when its done.
Mmm, this is nice. I’m just reclining completely relaxed on the couch typing away. I could deal with this on a full time basis. Ah, but I won’t. I think i’ll give a little more of my time to the Saturday Disney movie thats on at the moment, then back to the den. Bye

Not much has been happening
10:47PM, April 18th, 2003
Not much has been happening this week (other than rehearsals and such), because i’ve been focussing most of my time on my major work for english. But I need to leave it now and move onto other stuff. Particularly my drama monologue!
Just a quick one to say hello and wish you all a happy easter. I’ll write more when something has actually happened. Bye
