I have just made a very informed decision that tommorow I am not going to school. Its okay, its the first day of actual school work I have missed due to absenteeism in many months.
I just felt really awful all day, my cold has taken over my body and is randomly deciding when I shall sleep, when I shall be snivelly (which seems to be a fave of the cold), and when I shall chest-hurtingly cough. I’m a slave to the disease.
I have to wait till my parents get home so they can buy me some good good good cold and flu drugs. Bye

Well, now I have that
5:41PM, February 26th, 2003
Well, now I have that great transition time between two stages of the cold: the sore throat to the stuffy nose. Which means I have both right now. Just fantastic.
I went and spent some of my book voucher money, and bought a rhyming dictionary. When I tell people thats what I bought they skew up their faces and say “What did you want one of those for?”. When I say “To write lyrics with”, they generally get a disappointed look on their face and say, “Actually, thats a pretty good reason”.
So thats about all that was exciting today. Hoo har. Bye

Yesterday I noticed I wasn’t
4:05PM, February 25th, 2003
Yesterday I noticed I wasn’t feeling too good, and through out the day I managed to come down with a sore throat. Thats not too bad, because I really haven’t been sick a while, whereas I used to get sick more often. I haven’t had a day off school (sports canivals exempt, of course) for quite a while also. So it wouldn’t have bother me so much, except…
Today was the day to hand in our major Related Text Folios, and we also had a speech to present. I got very worried that I would have a coughing fit or something in the middle of my speech. And then I woke up today with very little voice. Fantastic - the one time I get sick in a while, and it prevents me from speaking well just when I have an Oral Presentation. My speech was being presented early in the morning, I was nunber 4 of the grade.
After a lot of stressing, I was able to get my voice back and feeling not too strained before I did the speech. Overall, I think I did fine. I had rehearsed it so much I knew it pretty well, so it gave me quite a chance to divert from the palm cards. It was just a little frustrating being assessed in mass, however, when each teacher gave their class different instructions and advice. Anyway, I don’t care - its over now until we get the results back.
The other thing we had to do today was attend one of two screenings of Blade Runner (depending on when your speech was due). I got the better deal I think, doing my speech first, then watching the movie in the afternoon. Lots of people got really bored and hated the movie, but I really enjoyed it (particularly because it was on the big screen). I think it is one of those movies which you have to watch a few times to understand the concepts etc. I don’t think many people actually picked up that Deckland thought he was a Replicant.
Okay, onto the homework for tommorow. Bye

Almost a hundred people die
6:10PM, February 22nd, 2003
Almost a hundred people die in an american tragedy and yet they put a news article about Shane Warne and his crazy mother first. When will Australia realise that sport is simply *not* that important! Idiots!

Oy, I am genuinely run
12:05PM, February 22nd, 2003
Oy, I am genuinely run off my feet.
Last night I worked on my RTF till about midnight, and then got to bed. At 4:30 this morning, some one’s car had an episode and decided to constantly honk for a few minutes at a time. It managed to wake the whole neighbourhood, except the owner of course. My brother got up and thought it was his car so he went to see, but when he got down there it stopped. When he realised it wasn’t his car, he walked down the street and some other people had arisen. They woke up the owner and he turned it off, but it still went off twice after that. I eventually managed to fade back to sleep, and then I woke at 8am, working for another hour on the RTF. I just about have it done now (except for the speech). Then I went out to fix someone’s tv setup that has been screwing up due to the digital television transmission, and now I am back from that trip. I have rehearsal in less than an hour and I just inhaled some bread thing but I need more food. I’ll go and raid the freezer now I think.
Two blogs back I listed the things I had to get done, there were 10 of them. Numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 (almost), and 6 are done, so thats a pretty good effort I think. It’s not fair though - I now have new maths homework, and new economics homework etc. Okay, I need to eat before I depart once again. Bye
