It has been a few

3:40PM, December 30th, 2002

It has been a few days since i’ve blogged now. Its not that I’ve been doing a terrible lot, but only that I haven’t blogged. Haven’t seen much use for an empty blog.

Anyway, this morning I finally went out to see the new James Bond film, Die Another Day. I’m not into doing those movie reviews like other sites do, because if you want to know what the movie is like, you’ll either find more reliable information from other sources, or you’ll go and see it yourself. I did enjoy it, although I miss the fun of the ‘old style’ james bond films. I did appreciate the subtle, or not so subtle references to previous films.

Other than the movie, I started to continue work on my english major work. Watched an australian film, ‘Kick’, last night. Other than that, not very much has been happening. I know its a lame post, but go and read about someone else’s exciting life instead, perhaps. Bye

Hello everyone! Well, christmas has

3:13PM, December 27th, 2002

Hello everyone!

Well, christmas has come and gone again for another year, and although the child-like excitement is wearing off, I still very much enjoy christmas time. It’s a great time when most people are generally very happy and cheerful, and generally having a great time. I hope everyone had the opportunity to fully enjoy this season, spending the day and those surrounding it with family and friends.

Christmas eve I got to sleep about 1am (I can’t for the life of me remember what I was doing), and then I awoke at around 5:30, and finally got up at 6am when my brother came and got me up. This was strange - my brother usually wakes me up at 4am on christmas morning. So we got up, and unwrapped our presents. Apart from the main present (some microphones), I also got some DVDs, clothes, chocolates, and books. Also, I got a very cool wall clock which is glass and the dots which represent each hour are a light grey, which cannot be seen very well when the clock is placed against cream walls, such as mine. This was a seemingly subtle hint from my mother to finally pick a colour and paint my room. Subtle indeed.

Come about 3 or 4pm christmas day, the family came over for the christmas dinner. We were hoping it would be a hot day so we could swim in the pool, but it was actually quite mild, and the pool, quite cold. It was an enjoyable night. I finally crawled into bed at around 11:30pm.

The next morning I awoke at quarter to 11am, and I was due to be at J-M’s for the annual boxing day games festival at 11:30. I easily made it once I clawed out of bed, and the day was lots of fun. As usual, I was supreme champion at Balderdash, because the answers I come up with are just rediculous enough to be correct. However, I was out of form for this game, and I won most of my points by actually guessing the correct answer. The new game for the year was called ‘Secret Sound’. A sound was played from a series of CDs, and you had to act, draw or answer questions about it from/for your partner in order for them to guess what it is. My team won that (I think), through our magnficent scenario building when ‘act’ was the method chosen by the dice. For example, one sound was pulling cotton from a thread, so I, against the clock, built the scenario of someone ripping their pants, thus needing to sew their pants, with the cotton. We got all 3 points for that one. I got home at about 11:30 (pm this time), and read until midnight.

That joyfully brings up to today. I got another 10 hours or so of sleep, which is good. I think I’m on my way to rebuilding all my lack of sleep over the last week due to the carols by candlelight, then the visit to my grandmother, then christmas preparations, christmas day and boxing day. Gee, I sure keep myself busy. Maybe *now* I can start my holidays of nothing. Hope you all had as great a christmas as I did! Bye

I just thought i’d get

4:06PM, December 24th, 2002

I just thought i’d get a blog in before christmas dawns upon us here.

I have been cleaning my room (well, the music slash computer slash study room anyway - there is nothing in my bedroom). Its getting better now, I can see the surface of the desk for the majority of the desktop, however I get very distracted. For example, while cleaning up the enormous pile of loose-leaf paper on top of my stereo next to my piano, I decided to put my loose music into a folder. So I do this, but as I find a peice of music I haven’t played for a long time, I decide that I will play it. Sometimes I find something I had never learnt, so I decide to sit down and play that. Finally, I play my way through the pile, yet only a very small section of room had been cleaned.

Then I decide to clean up the pile of school papers on my desk. Naturally, this leads to cleaning out all my school folders and adding new papers and whatever. Then I get tired and decide it is time for a break. Which is now. In reality, I have done very little, but this is the procedure I go through when cleaning my room. You can be guaranteed, however, that at the end of it, my room is perfectly organised and very neat and tidy. For a day or too.

Merry christmas to all of you out there. I hope you all have a wonderful day, spending time with whoever you spend time with. Bye

I have been a very

6:03PM, December 22nd, 2002

I have been a very busy boy, and as it stands, I am not particularly in the mood to tell my life story of the last couple of days. In short, the carols was good, but very tiring, with all the rehearsal.

Today we went up to my grandmother’s place for a christmas get together. There and back is about 6 hours of travelling. We stayed there for abou 3 hours, and it was 38 degrees (celcius) in the shade, well over 40 in the sun. Instead of chatting and talking to people I haven’t seen in a year, there was a higher tendancy to simply sit and perspire. Not much fun. To add salt to a gaping wound, I managed to adopt my old pal hayfever for the day. So I am sneezing, tired, extremely hot, and have a muddy head, which as you may have guessed did not lead to a fantastic day. However, it was nice to see my cousins and so forth again.

I can’t handle the whole hand / eye co-ordination thing right now, so i’ll go. Bye

3:59PM, December 20th, 2002

Just a quick blog today.. I have to go and get ready for our 4 hour rehearsal for the choir tonight. After tonight there is another rehearsal tommorow, and then the carols are on tommorrow night. The next day I am heading off to see my grandma, and thats quite a trip, so I hope you can deal with it if I don’t blog for a few days.

Bye
