Bad news everyone.. well, for me anyway. It seems my trusty monitor has passed on, and can’t be fixed. At the moment I am borrowing my dad’s monitor which isn’t very good so it hurts my eyes if I use it for a while. This would normally be fine, because I can just cut back on computer use, but I really need it for assignments, in which I often spend many hours in front of the computer. Thus, I need to buy a new monitor, but I don’t have enough money. So, if anyone would be able and willing to donate money through paypal towards the new monitor, I would be most grateful. I’m not sure what size, but because I need it soon it will only be a small one. So, if you could help, I would appreciate it, and I’ll probably list your names or something on the site, or we can arrange something. For once, I actually don’t mind working. I’m just in a mood to get my school work done. Granted, I am not doing it because I am writing to you lot, but I will do it soon. I’ve had enough of a weekend, and I’m ready to get the last week of school before school holidays over. Only five more days! Sure, packed with assignments and assessment tasks, but hey, then 2 weeks off! Yay!
For those who noticed before, a little while ago I added the frame in the top right hand corner and it lists what the last film, cd etc was that I listened to. While it is extremely appreciated to donate money to paypal or buy something from my wishlist, if you buy something off this frame using the link, I believe I get a cent or two… Hrm, hardly seems worth it. Anyway…
Oh, and Kirrin’s birthday dinner last night was lots of fun… I had a cocconut gelati. Once you got past the whole medicene taste, it wasn’t too bad!

I found an article in a newsgroup about IBM keyboards, and apparently the Model M keyboards are quite sought after. I knew I had at least one IBM keyboard in the cupboard, so I dug it out, and low and behold, it is indeed a Model M. So I hooked it up and am typing with it now. I must say, that it is very noisy to type with, but very high quality. I can’t guess how many years old this is, and I am known for going through keyboards relatively quickly. I can’t see myself bashing up this one any time soon.
I suppose I should get ready. I am playing for the Henry rehearsal, and I have to be there in 45 mins… Ah, i’ve got a while - its okay… I just hope I can play enough of the songs. Bye

Hi Everyone! I *finally* was able to do our economics presentation today. I don’t know why I was worried about time. We went for 25 minutes (and I decided we wouldn’t discuss the articles I was going to), and it was supposed to go for 20. Then the discussions after the presentation took the entire lesson - thats 80 minutes. We were supposed to get through 3 presentations today, and merely got through ours alone. Everyone had different opinions on the taxation systems and such, and this is great, because it showed that people were listening. I know that people weren’t listening in a lot of other presentations, so this is promising. Whether or not we get a good mark is another matter all together though. I also did a listening exam for english, and a computers presentation today, so I got a few assessments out of the way this week. Just in time for more exams next week!
But now it’s weekend, and I can spend lots of time doing assignments. Yay! Because thats what I love doing. Joke. I have rehearsal tommorow. I really should learn the songs. After that, I can forget about them until I play possibly keyboard in the performances. And then we venture into the last week of school. What an exciting adventure this is. Bye

I can’t remember if I blogged about this (and I’m too lazy to check the archives), but the violin I ordered came today! How exciting. Not bad timing either, due to the fact that I finally got my business studies speech done today (but not the economics one due to a study skills speech that was timetabled in that period), so I don’t have that much work to do. We bought some new strings for it, that are much better than the ones that came with the violin, and a book to show me the finguring. I have been playing with it quite a bit, and the hardest thing would have to be getting a nice clean sound using the bow.. But practice.. practice.. Bye
