After spending the last few
11:00PM, May 31st, 2002
After spending the last few hours cramped up in spots that rats would find hard to accomodate, I am here. I have spent the last few hours re-wiring the phone sockets in the house, because they were done incorrectly (not to mention the fact that the sockets didn’t accomodate serial wiring, which we used. Anyhoo, I am now moved in the new house, and *finally* with a phone line as of today.
The move last weekend went *okay*, but it rained which made everything very muddy and generally not too much fun. It took us a few days to get everything here, and we all worked very hard on both Friday and Saturday.
On Sunday, it was homework day, as this week was a big week for assignments, as the half yearlies for yr 11 were due. SO, I wrote about 10 pages in 24 hours, not to mention more inclass essays and such, but I got it all done, with the support of ABC Classic FM (which I wouldn’t be here without). It was suprisingly easy to work, when I didn’t have the temptation of the internet looming over my shoulder.
But then this week came and went, being very busy with homework and such, as per usual. Which brings me to today, which is my brother’s birthday. We went out to dinner, where I ate two belt notches (my way of measuring how much I eat) of food at Chillis. Then I came back and worked on the phone sockets. So really, not too much happened this week.
I still have a lot of work to do for school, not to mention the 56 e-mails that were eagerly awaiting my return. But thankfully I got all my unpacking done pretty quickly. Now my main focuses are the Shakespeare festival coming up in a few weeks, in which we want our Othello extract to just be incredible (hoping I don’t loose my voice from all that yelling - “Oh Devil!” “Fire and Brimstone!” etc).
My plans for this weekend are as follows : Sleep. Go see Joseph (and his coat thingy). Sleep. School work. Sleep. School.
Sounds like a plan. Bye

Today I had an excursion
6:26PM, May 23rd, 2002
Today I had an excursion to Sydney to see the state school drama company’s production of ‘Our Town’. I won’t blab on too much about it, but I will say it was very good.
Anyhoo… I am moving officially tommorow, but we have been moving stuff in particularly this afternoon. It hurts me to see my stereo at this house, and all my CDs at the other house. Oh well. There will be a reunion tommorow afternoon. The worst bit of it all, is that I have to have this room packed before 8am tommorow, and I really have a bit to go. Oh poop. I should be packing now. But as you can tell, I am not.
And I’m *trying* to be a good webmaster by replying to my gbook entries, but it just isn’t happening for me. Gbook is having a few problems (read back a few posts to find out my tolerance for internet site’s problems), so I just need to let it be for a while.
I also have some new links coming up on the site soon(ish), so you should look out for those soon. They are all great sites.
Okay, this is me signing off from the last blog from this house. Bye

I’ve been packing for our
4:57PM, May 21st, 2002
I’ve been packing for our move today. I got a whole lot packed, but this room still looks like a pig-sty. Why is that? I think it is an omen or something “Tyson’s room shalt clean never be” or something to such an effect. I am now chatting to Dave who is having blogger problems.. I’m sure there is medication for that. Also, I am writing up a task for 3U english. We are only allowed 250 to 500 words, and i’m having troubles keeping it under that amount. But worst of all, is my mum bought me a packet of Allen’s Chicos, which are chocolate flavoured jubes. The most delicious lolly. Mmm. I have almost eaten the whole packet while I have been typing this thing up. I am going to be so fat tommorow. But alaz, it is 98% fat free. Shame it’s the 2% that hurts. Oh well. Bye

Okay - let me say
9:18PM, May 19th, 2002
Okay - let me say this right from the start. I am moving soon, this friday in fact, and seeing as though I have school all week, and with my homework, essentially, I *should* be packed. Alas, I am not. And this reeks of badness. I talked my mum into packing my room with me, because I don’t like being alone (and I don’t mean that in the freaky way it sounded), and I got a few boxes packed. I haven’t even started on the stinking computer room. Ugh. Anyhoo, I packed up my sheet music, and I’m already desperately wanting it back.. I NEED my music!
…
I’m back. I just spent about 10 minutes bashing the piano in some 50s rock style. And that reminds me, I should write a little melody for Laura, who is playing Desdemona in our Othello drama piece, and she needs something to sing…
Anyhoo - what I was trying to say earlier in this blog, was that I may not find time to blog until next week, so just bear with me.
Back to the piano. Bye

I’m tired. I’m talking major
10:21PM, May 17th, 2002
I’m tired. I’m talking major tiredness. I am having troubles getting good sentances out. That’s why I am keeping them simple. Like this. I know the broken images are annoying, but give Blogger.com time to update and fix out it’s little problems. We all have problems, just be tolerant. You never know when Blogger.com will be relying on you, and you are in a spot of bother. Just be nice. Be friends. There. Aren’t we all just happy now.
Sleep. Ugh, but that means I have to get up out of the chair. But it’s so comfy here. Mmm, but look at that bed. I love it’s floorboard texture. I am so glad I bought the industrially firm bed. I’m not being sarcastic - I like hard beds. I had the option of picking one that was just as hard, but with a bit of padding on top. But I didn’t.
Oh, there is a box from packing on the end of my bed. I wonder if I can sleep, and just put my legs to the side of it? It looks so heavy. If I hadn’t packed breakable things, I might have given the not-moving-it thing a go. But I suppose it is a good thing, or I would have been re packing it tommorow morning.
My brother has my new purple pen. I ate my other one. Well, not all of it. Just the end bit that holds the ink bit in. So now it doesn’t work. In my in class essay today, my black pen ran out on the last sentance. No joke. I couldn’t believe it. Why is it cheap pens last so much longer than expensive pens? This one lasted ages. I think I even just found it on the ground, or “borrowed” it off someone. I do buy pens, but people steal mine, so eh. Have you noticed how no one is fussy about pen ownership. Unless it is a special one. Like my new purple pen. It has turned a few heads. A few pages too. It is good. I found it in a basket upstairs. It actually has a better purple ink than the one I ate. Well, not ate. I think I already told this story.
I don’t like fountain pens. Too messy. I like biros. Black, not blue. Purple for bullets, blue for outlines and green for important points. And red occassionally. I think blue is over used, and I don’t like it.
I have *really* messy hand writing. During the inclass essay today, somewhere on my third page I began to get a very sore hand, so what started off as a concious effort to have neat handwriting for my poor teacher, turned into a festival of leaving out every second letter, and replacing what was left with un upside-down squiggle.
Ah, Mr Squiggle. Was there anything he couldn’t do? I am guessing that was an australian show. He was a puppet with a pencil for a nose who would make drawings out a few lines that kids “sent in”. It was amazing, he always managed to make a seal with a ball on its nose. And the blackboard spoke. He would say “Hurry Up” in a deep voice. I think it was Mr Squiggle who would say “upside-down” while jumping about. Then he’d take off back up to moon in his rocket. Those were the days.
We play Mr Squiggle in class when we are bored. I did it the other day in Business Studies. Nikki drew the lines and then we both had a go. I drew a large tropical bird, and Nikki drew a very elaborate nudist beach. We shant go into that.
I can’t believe how much I have written. Maybe I should blog when I am tired more often. Actually - this is more out of laziness. I am really dreading getting out of this chair.
I think I’ve finally run out of things to say. You know what comes next.. Bye
